In the East, armies of warriors prepare to march upon the Free People of Middle-earth. These are the Easterlings and the Variags of Khand - evil men who have sworn allegiance to the Dark Lord. They are led by Khamul, one of the nine Ringwraiths and beside deadly Easterling phalanxes, advance scores of formidable Khandish charioteers.

This is a supplement for Games Workshop's The Lord of The rings Strategy Battle Game - you will need a copy of the rules in order to play.

Easterlings are amongst the most fanatical followers of the Dark Lord and the best equipped of all the warriors at his command. Trained to fight in deadly phalanxes, their spears form a hedge of sharpened blades. Able to support friendly models as though they were carrying pikes an Easterling maintains his shield and a greater defence.

This box set contains 20 plastic Easterling Warriors, including: eight with sword and shield, eight with bow and four with spear and shield. Models are supplied with 25mm round bases.

The personal guard of the Khandish kings ride to battle in formidable chariots. Only the most loyal of all the Variags in a king's army are chosen for this honour.

The knowledge of how he came into the service of The Lord of The Rings has long been lost, though a few of the Wise believe that he once ruled a land beyond Mordor's eastern boundaries. A weaker sorcerer than the other nine, Khamul's great strength lies in his ability to draw strength from the death of others: excelling in combat.
