M/S Kong Harald was built at Volkswerft Stralsund shipyard in the former East Germany and was delivered in 1993 to the shipping company Troms Fylkes Dampskipsselskap (TFDS) in Tromsø, Norway.The model of M/S KONG HARALD is built to a scale 1:100. The hull is made of ABS Plastic, the superstructure are made from Lasercut Basswood and the fixtures and fittings are from plastic, brass and metal.
All the 621 Portholes/Windows are pre-cut. The Propellers and Shafts are made of steel and brass.

Henry Hudson (1565-1611) was an English explorer who received a commission from the Dutch East India Company to find a Northern trading route to China and Japan. In April 1609 he sailed North and East on the ship the "Halve Maen" to try and find a route around the northern shores of Russia in order to reach the Pacific Ocean that way. After several attempts, which always were stopped by the pack-ice, he crossed the Atlantic to try and find a route north of America. On this voyage he sailed up the Hudson River as far as Albany. Later this river valley was settled under the auspices of the Dutch West India Company and became known as the New-Netherlands.

The Andrea Gail, an un-inspected commercial fishing vessel departed Gloucester Harbour, Massachusetts, September 20, 1991 with six crewmembers on board. The crew intended to make a fishing trip for swordfish in the area of the Grand Banks of Newfoundland, Canada. The vessel began its return voyage to Gloucester, MA. on October 26-27, 1991. On October 30, 1991, the vessel was reported overdue by the owner, Mr. Robert Brown. An extensive air and sea search was conducted utilizing U.S. and Canadian Cape Cod MA. However, the search did not locate the vessel or any of the crewmembers. The vessel and six crewmembers remain missing and are presumed lost at sea in a major storm, referred to as the “Perfect Storm” by a meteorologist and made famous by Sebastian Junger’s book (the book was later turned into a Hollywood movie). The sword fishermen were Captain William “Billy” Tyne, Robert “Bobby” Shatford of Gloucester, Dale Murphy and Michael “Bugsy” Moran of Bradenton Beach FL., David “Sully” Sullivan and Alfred Pierre of New York City.

The first Dragen was built in 1929 in Gothenburg, Sweden. The sailing characteristics of the vessel were so fine that the boat soon was used throughout the world, and especially in Europe. As time passed, the Dragen was changed gradually, so that today only the hull is original. In 1948 the Dragen became an Olympic yachting class, and all measurements have been standardized by the International Sailsport Union.

Three Mastet Topsail Schooner 'SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL' The Schooner was built in 1965 at the Richard Dunston Ltd., Shipyard in Hessle, Yorkshire, GB, for the "Sail Training Association" in Bosham. The constructors of this ship were Chamber & Nicholsen Ltd. The 'Sir Winston Churchill' is also equiped with a 240 HP help-engine and has a total sailarea of 817 sqm. The main-crew consists of 11 men, of these are 8 officers, and they can carry up to 44 ship-boys.In October 1967 a sistership, the 'Malcom Miller' was taken into service, and was immediately in the media as its crew-menbers consisted of women. One of these ships can almost be found at every Windjammer Parade.

A Classic American runabout from the mid-1920s. This type of boat was mainly used as racing boats, but in some cases also as tenders, for those who had a lager yacht. Racing boats from that time was build in beautiful classic materials such as teak and mahogany. If you had a 100-150 hp engine back then, you had one of the most powerful engines. The model is based on a fast 34 foot tender.

The Oseberg was found in Norway at Oseberg in Vestfold in 1903, resting on a bed of blue clay and covered with turf and stones. The Oseberg was built in the last half of the 800's and was buried roughly 50 years later. The ship is some 50 to 100 years older than similar vessels which have been found. It lay deep in the water and must have been relatively dangerous under sail.

Since 1776 Swedish naval officers got their education on board special training ships. In 1946 it was decided to build such new ships to replace the HMS Jarramas, which had served it's time.

HMS Gladan was then delivered from the Stockholm Naval Dockyard in June 1947 and was followed by it's sistership the HMS Falken in October of the same year. Both Schooners have been renovated during years. HMS Gladan and HMS Falken are mostly sailing together on their cruises to the harbours in the Baltic, Kattegat, Skagerak and the North Sea. Furthermore they have crossed the Atlantic several times. Twice to sail in the Caribbean and once in a sail race for training ships.
