De RS 1 werd in 1893 gebouwd door de Colin Archer Scheepswerf in Rek-kevig bij Larvik Noorwegen voor de "Norwegian Society for Shipwreck Salvage" als SV 1. De naam SV 1 werd later veranderd in "Colin Archer", de ontwerper en bouwer van dit schip. Het Billing Boats model van de Colin Archer is geschikt voor radiobesturing. Iedere doos wordt geleverd met een genummerd en getekend certificaat.

De Smit Rotterdam werd in 1975 gebouwd voor Smit International b.v. in Rotter-dam en was ten tijde van haar voltooing de sterkste sleepboot ter wereld. Ze meet 2.273 BRT, de lengte is 75 m. en het vermogen van 22.000 pk. geeft haar een topsnelheid van 16,5 knopen. Het schip heeft een bulbsteven en twee schroeven met straalbuizen. De uitrusting omvat the modernste navigatie- en communicatieapparatuur.

The Andrea Gail, an un-inspected commercial fishing vessel departed Gloucester Harbour, Massachusetts, September 20, 1991 with six crewmembers on board. The crew intended to make a fishing trip for swordfish in the area of the Grand Banks of Newfoundland, Canada. The vessel began its return voyage to Gloucester, MA. on October 26-27, 1991. On October 30, 1991, the vessel was reported overdue by the owner, Mr. Robert Brown. An extensive air and sea search was conducted utilizing U.S. and Canadian Cape Cod MA. However, the search did not locate the vessel or any of the crewmembers. The vessel and six crewmembers remain missing and are presumed lost at sea in a major storm, referred to as the “Perfect Storm” by a meteorologist and made famous by Sebastian Junger’s book (the book was later turned into a Hollywood movie). The sword fishermen were Captain William “Billy” Tyne, Robert “Bobby” Shatford of Gloucester, Dale Murphy and Michael “Bugsy” Moran of Bradenton Beach FL., David “Sully” Sullivan and Alfred Pierre of New York City.

The clipper appears in the U.S.A. about 1820. It is the last stage in the evolution of the sailing ship and it satisfied the demand of the American merchant class, who has realized that the future of trade is on the sea. The American builder create quite a new ship, without imitating schemes and models of the old continent and they obtain immediately such results as to influence the world shipyards techniques. Flying Cloud, the masterpiece of builder Donald McKay, was built at East Boston in 1851. It acquired a high reputation during the “Gold Rush” in California, making the passage from New York to San Francisco in the record time of 88 days, 22 hours and 30 minutes, never equalled so far.

During the Revolutionary War (1774 - 76) private vessels (privateers) were commissioned by the colonial rebel government to prey on British commerce everywhere and to capture, when possible, British ship. At the time of the Revolutionary War, Benjamin Franklin was ambassador to France. He allowed to buy French built corsairs through an important ship broker. These corsairs were the predecessors of the Baltimore Clippers. The ships were painted black so as to be nearly invisible at night. They were named Black Prince and Black Princess. The crew were Portuguese seamen but captained by an American. They preyed on the British trade in English coastal waters and for over a year nearly destroyed Britain’s trade with the rest of the world.

Het jacht van de Nederlandse koningin.
De Lemsteraak was een vissersschip van de Zuiderzee en genoemd naar de plaats van herkomst Lemmer. Het type is ontstaan in de tweede helft van de 19de eeuw op scheepswerf van De Boer in Lemmer. Aanvankelijk gebouwd van hout maar na 1900 ook van ijzer. Het is een schip met ronde lijnen, de kop is hoger en scherper dan van een tjalk. Het schip heeft verwantschap met de boeier. Uit Friesland komen de sierlijke, ronde lijnen.

The Star was created in 1911 from lines drawn by William Gardner. Among monotype ships this one had appropriate measurements and ideal proportions. The most famous of helmsmen took a liking to the yacht and thus made it popular all over the world. Over 9000 of this craft have been built in the past 90 years. It is still Olympic class. Every sea and lake port vaunts the mooring of a Star, with its unmistakable lengthening line became at last familiar. Also the MAMOLI’s owners have decided to realize this model, because when young they had this extraordinary ship . They attended some regattas on beautiful water of Como’s Lake. As other regatta models of our assortment, details are made with extreme meticulousness. The hull is in wooden . The sail plan and the rigging respect really a Star the thirty years. As the color of hull, strictly bright and the deck with strips at sight. The rigging , then, was respected in his whole, from shrouds in metal plait to cotton sheets and halyard, to the metal connection on the mast and so on. We think that the sail supporters can be completely satisfied about re-edition in scale of this “ageless and marvelous “ Star.

Deze sleepboot werd door de Amerikaanse Marine op 22 mei 1941 onder de naam "YT146 HOGA" in dienst genomen en geplaatst bij het 14e Marinestation van Pearl Harbor.Na slechts zes maanden dienst kreeg de HOGA een veel strengere test dan ooit verwacht, toen Pearl Harbor op 7 december 1941 door Japan aangevallen werd. De bemanning van de HOGA was 48 uur zonder onderbreking in touw met het blussen van branden, het wegslepen van gebombardeerde schepen en het redden van zeelieden. De HOGA is het enige nog bestaande schip dat de aanval op Pearl Harbor heeft overleefd.

In the mid-1860's a Swedish distilling company placed a contract with the Stockholm dockyard of Soedra Varvet for the construction of a fast, elegant sailing schooner. In 1868 the 29 m long Vanadis was launched, rigged as a Newfoundland schooner. During her colourful career the vessel's high speed was in demand, and at times she operated as a smuggling boat and as a customs vessel. She now serves as a charter vessel for extended sailing cruises, and has taken part with great success in international regattas.
