Glueing tires is a dirty job and the first time it won't be easy. But after a few times it will be easier. For these tires we use super glue, it's the best glue but also very dangerous, be carefull and use safety glasses. If your fingers are glued together you could use super glue remover or warm water to get them loose.

Before you start glueing, lay the tire insert over the wheel and check its length, if necessary shorten it. Now join and glue the tire inserts together, therefore spray one side with FG Activator spray 6507. Spread our Super Glue thin 6509 on the other side and press both ends together. Instead of the Super Glue you can also use non-dribbling contact adhesive.

It is easier to mount the tire if you heat it up first with a hair drier or put them in the micro wave for a few seconds. Further you can spray the tire insert everywhere with FG Cleaning spray 6507/2, then fix the tire and press it down over the wheel, here the FG mandril is a great help. The wheel is fixed and can still be turned, now you can press the tire with a crosstip screw-driver without problems over the wheel. Then adjust the tire on the wheel and make sure the glueing edge sits exactly in the groove of the wheel. Check the tires on rotation.

Tires which sit close on the wheel at the contact spots have to be lifted up a little when glueing so the FG Super Glue thin 6509 can flow between tires and wheels. Glue these tires point-bypoint in bigger distances (every 3 cm) on the wheel.Tires which don’t sit close on the wheel at the contact spots you also glue point-bypoint, but in smaller distances (about 1 - 1,5 cm) on the wheel. It is important to press the tire straight away strongly to the wheel after using the FG Super Glue 6509. A relief are the hose clamps 8545 for 1:5 and 8546 for 1:6 and Formula 1 tires. These clamps press the tire without efforts on the wheel.

Using the hose clamps you don’t have to glue selectively. Put some drops of FG Super Glue into the gap between wheel and tire, then pull the tire with the hose clamps together until it sits on the wheel. Now remove surplus glue with a cloth. Check the adhesion and repeat the glueing if necessary, use FG Activator spray 6507.  Finally glue the rear side in the same way. Glue tire insert as well as the edges all-over.

Before you start glueing, lay the tire insert over the wheel and check its length, if necessary shorten it. Glue both ends of the tire inserts together with contact adhesive or FG Super Glue. Afterwards clean the contact spots of the tire and wheel carefully with FG Cleaning Spray 6507/2 and a clean cloth from release agents and oil residues. Press the tire insert into the tire adjust both parts. Now pull the tire together with the insert over the wheel. Adjust the tire with the inside insert and make sure the glueing edge sits exactly in the groove of the wheel. Mount the complete wheel on to the front axle and check it on rotation. Tires which sit close on the wheel at the contact spots (FG Grip tires) have to be lifted up a little when glueing so the FG Super Glue thin 6509 can flow between tires and wheels. Glue these tires point-by-point in bigger distances (every 3 cm) on the wheel. When glueing tires which don’t sit close on the wheel at the contact spots (FG Super-Grip tires and Performance tires), you have to apply FG Super Glue thin into the glueing gap between tire and wheel. Now lay the tire with the wheel on an even ground and wait about one hour until the glue is dry. Now glue the other side in the same way. Check the glueing and repeat if necessary. Attention! According to the asymmetric knobbed profile of our offered tires it is important to make sure the V-knobs are mounted either to the outside or the inside of each axle. Experts prefer the outside mounting.
