The differential brake replaces the layshaft rear brake. It can be used on a standard FG with raised diff mounts or with the Elcon drive train KRP 235 (Elcon 12600) and KRP 250 (Elcon 13600). The brake is especially suitable for off-road use and is situated between the diff and engine to protect it in the event of any impacts and to ensure it is kept free from dirt as much as possible. Using a single brake also means there are no balancing issues as with outboard cable brakes nor the need for bleeding hydraulic brakes. 

The brake disk is made from aluminum and has a special coating to ensure a strong braking action. Compared to the standard layshaft brake this differential brake is significantly more powerful.

For mounting the differential brake the appropriate connection plate needs to be purchased separately.

After years of brainstorming, developing and testing Elcon finally has the airbrake in roduction.
This brakeset is revolutionair and protected. One of the great advantages is that this closed system will perform always the same at all different circumstances. Rain, dust and sand will have no influence at the performances. Also a great advantage is that the brakepressure can be controlled more precise than the normal brakesystems. The airbrake is maintenance free and filling oil, bleeding the hydraulic hoses and re-adjusting of the brakes belong to the past.

This set is delivered with uprights and the nesseccary attachement parts.
