The undercarriage of the FG Formula 1 Competition is built on a 8mm CNC-cut alloy chassis. Chassis sparings and the lateral carbon fiber parts lighten the chassis. All screws underneath the chassis are countersunk.
Front and rear axle mounts as well as the engine unit are connected over the complete length of the chassis, therefore we achieved almost the stiffness of a monoquoque chassis. The engine has a quick fix system which guarantees a fast changing of the engine during competitions. A separate flange bearing holds the clutch bell in order to relieve the crankshaft. Front and rear axle with their various adjusting possibilities as king pin angle, trailing effect a.s.o. consist of double delta wishbones. The double delta wishbones of the rear axle are supported by additional track rods which allow a fast set up. 4 oil-pressure shock absorbers controlled over a push-rod suspension guarantee an optimal road grip. When changing the driving gear disks the length of the toothed belt is balanced over a belt tensioning roller which is supported by ball bearings.
Further standard equipment is: Zenoah G260RC, hydr. brake system or mech. Tuning brakes for front and rear axle, adjustable alloy differential, FG ball drive, front and rear stabilizer, Tuning pipe, front and rear alloy uprights, alloy steering stop, carbon fiber rear spoiler and an impact resistant polyamide front spoiler.
To complete the model all merchantable servos and radio control systems are suitable. Front and rear spoiler are included in the delivery, but body set F2000 as well as Team decals must be ordered separately.
